Enjoy the View (2021)

Author – Sarah Morgenthaler

Genre – Romance

Page Count – 384 pages

Sarah Morgenthaler takes us back to the town of Moose Springs where the locals are protective but loving and the tourists are just dying to be a part of. If you have read the other two books in the series – The Tourist Attraction and Mistletoe and Mr. Right – you will be familiar with some of the characters in the book, especially Easton Lockett, our in-house ‘Sexy Hagrid’

River Lane, an ‘aging’ actress (she’s 30) decides to be behind the camera for her new project. But when she makes her way to Moose Springs to put the glory of the town into reel, she’s met with the classic Moose Springs welcome. Doors are closed and she’s left with no footage. At her wit’s ends, she takes the advice of local mountaineer, Easton to make a documentary on Mount Veil instead.

You don’t need to read the previous books to be able to pick this one up. While the story remains similar to the last two books – a simple and unproblematic romance, with a few hurdles here and there – Enjoy the View has to be the one which strays the most from the classic romance of the series.

Enjoy The View - Bibliode Review

If you like a nice and well thought out side story to a regular romance, then you will thoroughly enjoy this book. River is an amateur mountaineer and when faced with the challenge of climbing the ‘Old Man’ – as Mount Veil is lovingly called – a very different part of her is shown. She comes into her own while climbing the mountain and all those harrowing descriptions of vertical climbing and scary winds, added an element of excitement to the book which I really loved.

I read all the three of the books back to back and could not help but draw parallels between the characters. The male characters are quite similar to each other and their approach towards a relationship is essentially the same but unless you are planning on binge reading the series, you won’t be having any problem.

If this is the last book in the series, I wouldn’t be completely disappointed but I would love to see Ashtyn Lockett get her happily ever after (Maybe with Killian?) Moose Springs series has some of the most satisfying romances I’ve come across this year and if you are looking for something to get lost into with a large mug of hot cocoa, be sure to check out these books.
